High school roundup: Hodge hits 3-pointer at buzzer to lift Glenwood

Teri Hodge hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer in overtime to lift Glenwood to a 50-49 victory over Lee-Scott on Thursday night.

Glenwood outscored Lee-Scott 15-5 in the fourth quarter to force the overtime tied at 40.

The Lady Gators were down 49-47 with 10 seconds left in overtime. Coach Julie Humphries said she drew up a play to go for a 2-point basket to force double-overtime.

Morgan Grant finished with a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Audrey Crowe led the Lady Gators with 16 points.

WRESTLING

SPENCER GOES 1-1

MACON, Ga. -- Spencer went 1-1 on the first day of the GHSA Class 3A state duals wrestling tournament.

The Greenwave lost the opener, 38-33 to Blessed Trinity. They rebounded to beat Franklin County 39-36 in the consolation bracket.

Spencer will wrestle again at 11 a.m. today and will face the loser of this morning's Toombs vs. Lumpkin match.

Jordan lost both of its matches on Thursday.

The Red Jackets lost 75-8 to Lumpkin in the opener. They were eliminated 66-16 by Calhoun.
