High school roundup: Munoz and Powell combine on shutout as Harris County blanks LaGrange

Jerad Munoz and Carson Powell combined on a four-hitter as Harris County blanked LaGrange 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon.

Munoz pitched the first six innings and gave up the four hits. Powell pitched one inning and allowed just a walk.

Jacob Rovig went 2-for 4 with four RBIs and two runs scored. Tanner Maley went 3-for-3 and scored three runs.

With the win, the Tigers remained a game behind Columbus in the Region 1-5A race. They are a half-game behind Northside for second.

Harris County hosts Columbus on Thursday, The two teams play at Columbus on Friday.

Cason Greathouse and Jack Copley both hit three-run homers to lead Columbus to a 6-0 win over Hardaway on Tuesday afternoon.

Greathouse also pitched a complete-game four-hitter.

Hunter Duke had two of the hits for the Hawks.

Columbus remained on top of Region 1-5A with a 7-1 mark. Northside, which was idle Tuesday, is 7-2
