Hardaway 4, LaGrange 3

Jonathan Manibusan singled in Mykel Page in the top of the eighth inning to lead Hardaway to a 4-3 win over LaGrange on Friday afternoon.

The game was moved to LaGrange after rain overnight and early Friday made Hardaway’s field unplayable.

Page led off the extra inning with a walk. He went to second on a sacrifice bunt by Jalin Thomas. Manibusan then singled to center to drive in Page.

The Hawks forced the extra inning by scoring two runs in the seventh. Tristan Driver hit a one-out single. Chandler Griggs reached on a fielder’s choice. Ryan Anderson then homered to tie the game.

LaGrange took a 2-0 lead in the first. Hardaway cut the deficit in half in the third. Thomas singled in Sam Anthony who had singled. That run ended a streak of 23 straight scoreless innings by the LaGrange pitching staff.
