Calvary Christian finishes sweep of Young Americans
Calvary Christian finished off an easy sweep of Young Americans with an 18-0 rout on Saturday afternoon.
The Knights, which also won 10-0 on Friday in Game 1, will play in the second round of the GICAA playoffs at Thomas Jefferson in Louisville, Ga.
That series will start on Friday. No game time has been announced.
The Knights pounded out 16 hits in Saturday’s win, including six extra-base hits. Nick Baker hit a homer. Cody Russell had a pair of doubles. Christopher Wright, Kyle Masse and Zachary Garcis also had doubles.
Masse’s double was one of four hits he had. He knocked in three and scored three.
Russell had four RBIs and two runs scored to go with his doubles.
Garrett McGlamory went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs.
Jon Jon Brown, Wright and Baker drove in two runs apice.
