Former Shaw, Brookstone coach Debbie Ball to be inducted into Georgia High School Coaches Hall of Fame

Former Shaw and Brookstone coach Debbie Ball will be inducted into the Georgia High School Coaches Hall of Fame on June 4.

Ball won 643 games during her softball coaching career at the two local schools.

Ball, who is now an assistant coach on her son’s Glenwood team, also coached wrestling at one time at Shaw.

She was also that school’s athletic director, the first woman to be an athletic director at one of the Muscogee County public high schools.
