Central moves spring game up a day, releases fall schedule

With the threat of bad weather on Friday, Central has moved its spring football game up a day.

The 2016 Red and White scrimmage will be held at Garrett-Harrison Stadium at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Central also released its 2016 schedule Wednesday.

The Red Devils have a nine-game schedule, but they are looking for a 10th.

It was previously announced that Central would open the season on Aug. 19 against Hoover at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala.

Central plays at home the next two weeks against Fairfield and Auburn.

The next two games are on the road. The Red Devils renew their rivalry with Smiths Station on Sept. 16, then play Opelika on Sept. 23.

Central will host Enterprise on Sept. 30 before going back to the Cramton Bowl to play Jeff Davis.

Central will host R.E. Lee on Oct. 14, then close out the Region 2-7A schedule at Prattville on Oct. 21.
