Vanderbilt’s Alonzo Jones (Columbus High) earns freshman All-America honors
Vanderbilt’s Alonzo Jones was named a Louisville Slugger freshman All-American on Wednesday.
The team was selected by Collegiate Baseball newspaper.
The former Columbus High standout batted .285 with 15 doubles, 35 RBIs and 10 stolen bases.
He started in 46 games and played in three others. He played second baseman, shortstop, left field and designated hitter.
