Harris County’s Cal Culpepper and Parker Marshall compete in national fishing tournament

Harris County’s Cal Culpepper and Parker Marshall finished 62nd in the Bassmaster High School Championship.

The two did not advance to Saturday’s third and final round. Only the top 12 advanced.

Culpepper and Marshall caught only three fish for 5-pounds, 15 ounces on Thursday.

They did better on Friday with four fish for 9 pounds, 10 ounces to finish at 15-9. The cutoff to advance to the final day was 28-9.

Turner Mason and Ryan Wood of Colorado won with 49-4.

The event was held on Kentucky Lake.
