High school football: Jordan, Brookstone, Hardaway win scrimmages
Jordan beat Pacelli 19-7 in a scrimmage on Friday night at Deimel Field.
Levin Meadows caught two touchdown passes for the Red Jackets for 84 yards.
Aaron Maxwell rushed 11 times for 130 yards.
Quarterback Daren Lewis completed 8 of 17 passes for 182 yards. He also rushed four times for 45 yards.
Pacelli’s lone touchdown came on the first play of the fourth quarter on a 30-yard pass from Jacob Anderson to George Gottfried. Jake Rehak made the PAT.
Michael Herrera had 68 yards on 15 carries. He also had 10.5 tackles.
Brookstone 37,
Chattahoochee Co. 14
Brookstone rushed for 306 yards as 15 players carried at least one time in a 37-14 victory over Chattahoochee County in a scrimmage Friday night.
Walker Cottrell, Josh Long, Ross McKinstry and M.J. Scott scored rushing touchdowns for the Cougars.
Brookstone also scored on a pair of passes as Benjamin Sloan hit Guy Kenimer for one and Clark Smith hit Graham Wolff for the other.
Brookstone plays Jordan on Friday at Memorial in the regular-season opener. Chattahoochee County will host Marion County on Aug. 26.
Hardaway 28, Spencer 14
Jakobe Ellerbee, Dominique Ford, Jaron Early and Tahjee Hudson scored touchdowns for the Hawks.
