Columbus vs. Hardaway

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Kinnett Stadium.

Series record: Hardaway leads 29-17, but Columbus has won the last two, including 35-6 last season.

Records: Columbus 2-2, 1-0 Region 1-4A. Hardaway 2-1, 0-1.

Last week: Columbus beat Shaw 46-26. Hardaway lost 46-13 to Cairo.

You need to know: Columbus has scored 54 points per game in its two wins and 3.5 in its two losses. … Hardaway will be trying to avoid an 0-2 start in the region.

Spencer vs. Crisp County

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: A.J. McClung Memorial Stadium

Series record: First meeting.

Records: Spencer 3-1. Crisp County 4-0.

Last week: Spencer beat Dougherty 28-14. Crisp County beat Rutland 49-14.

You need to know: Spencer has won three straight. After come-from-behind wins over Northside and Kendrick, the Greenwave rolled over Dougherty. Quarterback Khalil Thomas has threown for 674 yards and seven TDs. His favorite target has been Jaleel Grimes, who has 14 catches for 153 yards and two scores. Grimes has also rushed for 355 yards. … Since a 1-3 start last season, Spencer is 10-2.

Jordan at Upson-Lee

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Matthews Field, Thomaston, Ga.

Series record: Hardaway leads 29-17, but Columbus has won the last two, including 35-6 last season.

Records: Jordan 0-4. Upson-Lee 2-2.

Last week: Jordan lost 38-12 to Manchester. Upson-Lee lost 34-7 to Callaway.

You need to know: Jordan quarterback Daren Lewis has thrown for 933 yards and six TDs. DeAndre Snead has caught 20 passes for 441 yards and four scores. Aaron Maxwell leads the Red Jackets with 560 yards rushing. … Upson-Lee is 2-0 against MCSD teams this season with wins over Shaw and Columbus.

Callaway at Harris County

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Tiger Stadium, Hamilton, Ga.

Series record: Series tied 2-2 with Callaway winning 33-17 last season.

Records: Callaway 4-0. Harris County 3-1.

Last week: Callaway beat Upson-Lee 34-7. Harris County beat Perry 35-17.

You need to know: Jordan’s Cal’Von Harris has rushed for 405 yards and five TDs. Quarterback Jordan Griffin has thrown for 642 yards and four TDs.

Greenville at Brookstone

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Rex Knight Stadium.

Series record: Greenville leads 21-13, but Brookstone won 21-12 last season.

Records: Greenville 0-4, 0-1 Region 4-A, Div. A. Brookstone 1-2, 0-0.

Last week: Greenville was idle. Brookstone was idle.

You need to know: Brookstone opens division play with its game against Greenville.

Central-Talbotton at Pacelli

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Diemel Field.

Series record: Pacelli leads 24-10, including four straight wins. The Vikings won 35-14 last season.

Records: Central-Talbotton 0-3, 0-0 Region 4-A, Div. A. Pacelli 0-4, 0-1.

Last week: Central-Talbotton lost 45-7 to Crawford County. Pacelli lost 48-7 to Tattnall Square.

You need to know: Both teams are looking for their first win.

Life Christian at Calvary Christian

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Len McWilliams Field.

Series record: Calvary Christian leads 2-0, including a 62-12 win last season.

Records: Life Christian 1-2. Calvary Christian 2-3.

Last week: Life Christian beat Sherwood Christian 32-27. Calvary Christian lost 24-7 to Whitefield Academy.

You need to know: This game was scheduled to be played at Life Christian but was moved last week.

Manchester at Marion County

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Eagle Stadium, Buena Vista, Ga.

Series record: Manchester leads 2-0. The last game came in 2007, a 22-15 Manchester victory.

Records: Manchester 4-0, 1-0 Region 4-A, Div. A. Marion County 3-1, 1-0.

Last week: Manchester beat Jordan 38-12. Marion County lost 27-0 to Lamar County.

You need to know: This game could go a long way toward determining the region champion.

Smiths Station at Fitzgerald

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Jaycee Stadium, Fitzgerald, Ga.

Series record: First meeting.

Records: Smiths Station 1-4. Fitzgerald 3-0.

Last week: Smiths Station lost 51-14 to Central. Fitzgerald beat Rockdale County 41-14.

You need to know: Smiths Station has lost three straight, giving up and average 41.7 points per game in those three losses. … Fitzgerald is ranked No. 1 in the latest Georgia Class AA poll. … The Purple Hurricanes lost to Pace Academy in the GHSA Class AA state championship game last season.

Central at Opelika

When: 8 p.m.

Where: Kinnett Stadium.

Series record: Central leads 41-21, but Opelika won 27-21 last season. The Bulldogs have won three of the last four.

Records: Central 3-1. Opelika 5-0.

Last week: Central beat Smiths Station 51-14. Opelika beat Ben Russell 34-0.

You need to know: Both teams are ranked No. 4 in the lastest Alabama poll. Central in 7A and Opelika in 6A.

Chilton County at Russell County

When: 8 p.m.

Where: Corbett-Mitchell Stadium, Seale, Ala.

Series record: First meeting.

Records: Chilton County 1-4. Russell County 0-5.

Last week: Chilton County lost 40-32 to Wetumpka. Russell County lost 65-6 to Park Crossing.

You need to know: Russell County will once again try to put an end to its losing streak, which has reached 27 games.

Morgan Academy at Glenwood

When: 8 p.m.

Where: Sammy Howard Field.

Series record: Morgan Academy leads 13-7, but Glenwood won 62-42 in the last meeting in 2011.

Records: Morgan Academy 3-2. Glenwood 4-0.

Last week: Morgan Academy beat Hooper Academy 33-7. Glenwood beat Tuscaloosa Academy 33-31.

You need to know: Glenwood looks to keep hot start going under first-year head coach Jason Gibson.
