Northside splits two games at ESC Gwinnett Tournament
Northside scored six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning Friday to break a 2-2 tie and went on to defeat Northgate 10-2 in the opening game of the ESC Gwinnett Tournament.
Sidney Mathis and Jada Chadwick each drove in two runs in the win.
In Game 2, Northside took a 2-0 lead against Calhoun in first inning, but Calhoun came back with three runs in the bottom of the first inning and went on to win 5-2.
Northside continues play in the tournament today against East Coweta at 9 a.m.
