Herrera helps lead Pacelli past Central-Talbotton

Pacelli’s defense stopped a last-minute Central-Talbotton pass from the 8-yard line on fourth down to preserve a hard-fought 7-6 victory Friday night at Diemel Field.

Central-Talbotton took an early 6-0 lead on a short run. But they missed the extra point kick.

Pacelli had several opportunities but couldn’t get the ball in the end zone.

Quarterback Jacob Anderson finally got the Vikings on the board with a run from the 1-yard line at 11:56 of the fourth quarter. Jake Rehak’s extra point was the difference in the game.

Michael Herrera had 25 carries for 110 yards.

Daniel Mansfield had five tackles, including a sack. Joseph Douglas had four tackles.

Conner Barrows had a fumble recovery for Pacelli.
