Hardaway falls into hole early at Americus-Sumter
Americus-Sumter jumped out to a 14-0 lead and went on to beat Hardaway 34-18 at Finklea-Robinson Stadium on Friday night.
The Hawks got within two points twice, 14-12 and 20-18, but could never take the lead.
Hardaway and Americus-Sumter came into the game part of a six-way tie for second place in Region 1-4A.
The Hawks are now 4-3 overall and 2-3 in the region. The Panthers are 4-4 and 3-2.
Hardaway will play Shaw at Kinnett Stadium on Oct. 29 at 1 p.m.
