Russell County gave a valiant effort Friday night but fell 35-21 to Carver-Montgomery at Corbitt-Mitchell Stadium.

Carver-Montgomery improves 4-6, 4-2 in Region 2-6A. Russell County falls to 1-8, 1-5.

Russell County plays a crossover game Friday against an team to be determined.
