Columbus falls at Cairo in Region 1-4A game
Columbus fell 42-6 to Cairo at West Thomas Stadium on Friday night.
With the win, the Syrupmakers won the Region 1-4A championship. They are 8-1 overall and 6-0 in the region.
Columbus fell to 3-6 and 2-4. The Blue Devils are a half-game behind Hardaway for fifth place and a full game behind Americus-Sumter for fourth.
Columbus plays at Americus-Sumter on Nov. 4.
