Ex-Columbus High golfer Jimmy Beck takes swing at web.com tour qualifying

Former Columbus High golfer Jimmy Beck was unable to advance past the second stage of the web.com tour qualifying school on Friday.

Beck shot a four-round total of 7-under-par 281 to finish tied for 36th. The low 19 moved on to next month’s final stage.

Beck’s round were 70, 72, 69 and 70.

He finished four shots behind Nick Rousey, who finished 19th at 11 under.

The qualifier was held at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Magnolia Grove Crossings.
