Columbus cross country duo notches wins at City Championship
For the third time this season, Columbus’ Alex Salgado and Heaven Allen were the class of the field at Kinnett Stadium.
Salgado and Allen posted the fastest times in their races at Tuesday’s Muscogee County School District Cross Country City Championship. Salgado beat second-place Andrew McGinnis of Calvary Christian by one minute and 22 seconds; Allen, meanwhile, came in 20 seconds ahead of teammate Hannah Mishkoff.
Salgado clocked in at 15:41.60, topping his Sept. 27 time by one minute and 21 seconds.
