Live scores, updates: Carver girls basketball team faces Troup in GHSA Final Four game
It’s a battle of Chattahoochee Valley teams in the GHSA girls basketball state tournament Final Four, as defending state champion Carver faces one-loss Troup.
The game tips off at 2 p.m. EST at Fort Valley State.
The Tigers are two wins from a second consecutive state championship, but they are without their star player the rest of the way. Carver’s Olivia Cochran will miss both the semifinal and, should Carver make it, the state title game, after picking up two technical fouls in the Tigers’ Elite 8 win over Woodward, per GHSA rules.
Troup boasts its own do-it-all player.
Freshman forward Alexcia Murphy scored 25 points against McDonough in the Tigers’ 58-48 Elite Eight win on Tuesday.
Friday’s winner will face the winner of Americus-Sumter and Luella at the Macon Centerplex at 11 a.m. EST on March 6.
