Justin Crawford took an at-home visit from West Virginia coach Dana Holgerson and other offensive staff members on Tuesday at Northwest Mississippi Community College and plans to take an official visit to South Carolina this weekend.
With a week to go until national signing day, the former Hardaway running back has seen a steep increase in attention from major Division-I schools after a season in which he was named the NJCAA offensive player of the year.
Crawford just returned from a visit to Missouri over the weekend, stating on Twitter that he had a great time with the program.
“What (a) great group of coaches and people in that area,” he wrote.
Crawford sat down with new Georgia running backs and former Carver head coach Dell McGee a week ago to discuss his recruitment and the possibility of an offer from the Bulldogs. Crawford told rivals.com reporter Jake Reuse that McGee didn’t have an answer on the subject yet, but that it was still a possibility. If Georgia did offer, Crawford said, he’d commit “on the spot.”
Crawford has received offers from West Virginia, South Carolina, Missouri, UAB, South Alabama, Georgia Southern and Southern Miss, among others. He is not expected to sign on signing day.
