Glenwood girls advance to AISA state championship game

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Katie Suarez and Audrey Crowe scored 13 points apiece as Glenwood beat Fort Dale 42-17 in the AISA Class 3A state semifinals on Saturday.

The Lady Gators, who are 24-8, play Tuscaloosa Academy, on Monday night at 6 p.m. for the state championship.

Glenwood has won two straight championship and six overall. Each of the past two seasons, it beat rival Lee-Scott. But Tuscaloosa beat Lee-Scott in the other semifinal Saturday.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Glenwood saw its season end in the AISA Class 3A state semifinals for the second straight year.

The Gators lost Saturday 46-36 to Tuscaloosa Academy.

Brandon Moseley led Glenwood with 14 points, and James Beck added 10.

The Gators played without one of their leading scorers, Trip Day, who missed his second straight game.
