High school roundup: Big 7th inning propels Hardaway past Northside
Hardaway plated four runs in the top of the seventh inning to erase a two-run deficit and defeat Northside 9-7 on Tuesday.
Mykel Page batted through seven tough innings, giving up seven runs through three innings but shutting out the Patriots over the final four. Tristan Driver led the offensive charge, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Kenny Harrell went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Seth Shadix 2-for-3 with three RBIs for Northside in the losing effort.
Northside falls to 9-3 in region play, while Hardaway improves to 6-6.

An eighth-inning hit by Hunter Hartshorne gave Harris County a 4-3 extra-inning win on Tuesday against Shaw.
Hartshorne finished the game 2-5 with an RBI, while Harry Rich, Tanner Maley and Jacob Rovig all added one RBI each. Matthew Becker picked up the win on the mound.
Shaw plays next on Thursday at LaGrange, while Harris County plays a big region contest on Friday against Northside at home.

Columbus managed just five hits and two runs in a 3-2 loss to LaGrange on Tuesday at home, giving the Grangers the season series between the two teams.
The Blue Devils got an RBI from Gage Dempsey, but scattered their five hits among five players and recorded no extra base hits. Ben Anderson picked up the win for the Grangers.
Cason Greathouse pitched a complete game, allowing nine hits and three runs, only two earned, in the loss.

Russell County mustered just two hits in a 10-0 loss on Tuesday at Opelika.
Opelika scored six runs in the fifth and two in the sixth to end the game via mercy rule. Despite the large margin of victory, the Warriors gave up only four hits, but also committed four errors.
Hunter Donaldson and Matt Wilson both went 1-for-3, accounting for the only two hits of the day for the Warriors. The two teams meet again on Wednesday in a doubleheader at Russell County.
