Region 4-A releases all-region baseball selections
Region 4-A released their all-region baseball team last week, and Brookstone’s Drew Webb was selected player of the year.
Webb led the Cougars with 10 home runs and 31 RBIs this season, while also knocking 10 doubles, batting .44 and scoring 41 runs.
In addition, Brookstone had three others make the first team, three on the second team and two honorable mention. On the first team were pitcher Culver Norred, outfielder Preston Campbell and designated hitter Same Lowe. Second teamers were infielder James Sherrer, pitcher Banks Massey and designated hitter Coleman Killorin. Honorable mention selections were Walker Cottrell and Daniel Amos.
Elsewhere in the area, Pacelli put infielder Avery Ross onto the first team, Dale Riley onto the second team, and Bryce Hagler and Kyle Brenna on honorable mention. Marion County had J.J. Fuller, Ryan Howard, Matt Reddoch, Austin Connor and Landon Wiggins on second team, and Bryan Cobb and Matt Dennis on honorable mention.
