You can vote for Columbus High golf coach Chris Parker in Best 2015-16 Coach contest

Columbus High boys golf coach Chris Parker was chosen to be one of the 20 contestants in a Best 2015-16 Coach contest.

It is part of USA Today’s America’s Best contests.

The contestants include coaches of the year are from organizations such as National High School Coaches Association and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

The top three finishers will be win cash prizes — $1,000, $500 and $250 — for their athletic department.

The voting began at noon on Thursday. It will end at 2 p.m. on July 21.

Parker led Columbus to the Georgia High School Assocation Class 5A state title in May. It was the school’s third state championship under Parker. USA Today named him as boys’s golf national coach of the year.
