North AHSAA all-stars sweep the South on Tuesday

The North all-star baseball team swept the South in a doubleheader on Tuesday at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, 2-0 and 13-2.

Central’s Evan Baber was the lone representative from the area on the South team. He pitched an inning and struck out all three batters he faced.

Four pitchers combined to throw a one-hitter for the North in the first game.

In the girls soccer all-star game, Smiths Station’s Skylar Scott represented the area on the South team, though she did not record a statistic in the game. The North also won that game 3-2.

The North also swept the South in softball, 12-4 and 4-1, and won in boys soccer, 4-2. There were no local representatives for softball or boys soccer.
