Columbus High’s Chris Parker wins title of America’s Best 2015-16 Coach
Columbus High boys golf coach Chris Parker won an online voting contest as America’s Best 2015-16 Coach.
The contest was hosted on the USA Today website.
The contestants included coaches of the year are from organizations such as National High School Coaches Association and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Parker won $1,000 for the Columbus High athletic department.
Parker led Columbus to the Georgia High School Assocation Class 5A state title in May. It was the school’s third state championship under Parker. USA Today also named him as boys golf national coach of the year.
