Breaking down the team

The Good: The Vikings have been able to rely on a handful of seniors to lead the way through a transition period over the summer after the second coaching change in as many years. Avery Ross, Michael Herrera, Daniel Mansfield and others have been steady performers and leaders throughout the offseason.

The Bad: The team is replacing a number of important athletes on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Tre Sudberry, do-it-all athlete DeAndre Bowman, fullback/linebacker Ben Davis, safety/wide receiver Mike Marble, defensive back/wide receiver Trevor Robichaux, and the list could go on. The Vikings had a great senior class last year.

Our take: There’s room for Pacelli to have success this year, but it will take plenty of discipline on the part of the players. The team lost a lot and needs to be quick in its adjustment to new starters in order to compete in a challenging region.
