You need to know: Carver had a rough start to the Dre’Mail King era last week in losing at perennial Alabama power Opelika. The Tigers fell behind 20-0 in the first 4:29. Cameron Jessie was the lone bright spot for the offense as he gained 120 yards on 24 carries. … Spencer will be looking to build on the success it had last year. Jordan vs. Columbus

Series record: Columbus leads 49-28, including three straight wins. The Blue Devils won 37-25 last season. Jordan’s last win came in 2010, 14-9.

Last week: Jordan lost to Brookstone 49-32. Columbus was idle.
You need to know: Daren Lewis completed 13 of 28 passes for 263 yards and three touchdowns in Jordan’s loss to Brookstone. He added 96 yards on 11 carries and a touchdown. Aaron Maxwell led the Red Jackets with 116 yards on 16 carries. He also scored once. … The game for Jordan was its first with Justin Newman at the helm. … Columbus is looking to build on its 7-4 record from a year ago. It was the Blue Devils’ first winning season since 2005.
Hardaway at Harris County
