Pacelli at Crawford County

Where: Roberta, Ga.

Series record: Pacelli leads series 12-7, including two straight wins, the last of which came in 2013, 35-12.

Records: Pacelli 0-1. Crawford County 0-0.

Last week: Pacelli lost 48-6 to Mount de Sales. Crawford County was idle.

You need to know: Pacelli got off to a rough start in the first game under Buster Connally. The Vikings are having to replace a senior class that led the program to three straight 7-4 seasons. … After going four straight seasons at 0-10 (2010-13), Crawford County has gone 6-4 in 2014 and 8-2 in 2015.


Glenwood at Calvary Christian

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Len McWilliams Field.

Series record: First meeting.

Records: Glenwood 0-0. Calvary Christian 1-0.

Last week: Glenwood was idle. Calvary Christian beat Johnson Ferry 47-14.

You need to know: Jason Gibson takes over the Glenwood program. Gibson has been the ultra-successful coach of the Columbus Lions, an indoor football team. He takes over for Tripp Henderson, who went 11-21 in three seasons. … Kasen Andrews threw for 187 yards and four touchdowns to lead Calvary Christian to its win last week. Cam Green had 100 yards receiving and Jacquez Green had 98.


Manchester at Luella

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Luella High Stadium, Locust Grove, Ga.

Series record: First meeting.

Records: Manchester 1-0. Luella 0-1.

Last week: Manchester beat Greenville 49-0. Luella lost 23-0 to Eastside.

You need to know: Kelvin Turner rushed for 79 yards and four touchdowns to lead Manchester last week. Tre Gamble had 152 yards and two touchdowns. … Luella has not had a winning season since 2008, when it went 7-4.


Marion County at Chattahoochee County

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Panther Stadium, Cusseta, Ga.

Series record: Marion County leads 4-2, including two straight wins, the last of which was 49-0 in 2011.

Records: Marion County 1-0. Chattahoochee County 0-0

Last week: Marion County beat Schley County 42-0. Chattahoochee County was idle.

You need to know: Marion County picked up in fine fashion in the first game under Chris Kirksey. The Eagles had gone 65-10 in six seasons under Mike Swaney, who retired at the end of the last season. … Quarterback J.J. Fuller threw for 252 yards and three touchdowns last week. Jalen Tullis had 105 yards receiving and two touchdowns. …Drew Fowler makes his debut as Chattahoochee County’s head coach.


Fairfield at Central

Where: Garrett-Harrison Stadium

Series record: First meeting

Records: Fairfield 0-0. Central 0-1.

Last week: Fairfield was idle. Central lost 23-7 to Hoover.

You need to know: Fairfield head coach L.C. Cole was Central’s defensive coordinator in 2014, Jamey DuBose’s first at Central. Cole went 6-4 last season, his first at Fairfield. He is 19-33 in five seasons. … Central lost in the Champions Challenge last week at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala. … After scoring on its opening drive, Central’s offense sputtered against Hoover. … Quarterback Zion Webb was just 6 of 27 passing for 51 yards with two interceptions. … The game can be heard on WAGH-FM 101.3.


Dothan at Smiths Station

Series record: Smiths Station leads 9-5 with two straight wins, including 31-28 last season.

Last week: Dothan lost 38-12 to Enterprise. Smiths Station lost 17-16 to Harris County.

You need to know: Dothan’s offense struggled last week, gaining just 78 yards passing and 66 rushing, according to the Dothan Eagle. … Smiths Station scored on a Jay Roberts 1-yard run with 53 seconds left to pull within one point, 17-16, of Harris County last week. But the Panthers couldn’t convert the PAT. After a bad snap, a pass into the end zone fell incomplete. … The game can be heard on WMXA-FM 96.7.


Russell County at Valley

Where: Rams Field, Fairfax, Ala.

Series record: Valley leads 15-1, including seven straight wins. The last meeting came in 2013, a 13-7 Valley win. Russell County’s lone win was 49-22 in 1998.

Records: Russell County 0-1. Valley 0-1.

Last week: Russell County lost 25-0 to Tallassee. Valley lost 26-0 to Lanett.

You need to know: Russell County opened the second Dwight Jones era last week. Jones also coached the Warriors from 1990-94. … Russell County has lost 23 straight, going back to a win over BTW in 2013. … Bradley Lowe debuted as the Valley head coach last week.
