High school roundup: Pearson, Snavely rally Brookstone past Taylor

Virginia Pearson’s two-run single in the top of the sixth inning gave Brookstone a 7-6 lead, and the Lady Cougars added four more runs in the seventh Thursday to defeat Taylor County 11-6.

Leslie Harris and Katherine Snavely scored on Pearson’s single in the sixth inning. Snavely went 3-for-4 with a homer and drove in four runs. Pearson also drove in four runs in the game.

Zoe Paul gave up six runs on 11 hits in the complete-game win.
