Hudson to undergo Tommy John surgery

Tim Hudson hopes for a miracle didn't come to be Saturday.

Hudson hoped to be able to throw without any pain in his right elbow. However, Hudson told mlb.com that he indeed did feel discomfort while playing catch at Turner Field.

He told mlb.com that he has decided to have Tommy John elbow ligament replacement surgery.

The surgery is likely to be done sometime next week.
