Rookie guard Trae Young has been an Atlanta Hawk for almost a week now. As he settles in with the Hawks, the fifth overall pick has already set his sights on the NBA’s top player.

Young did his best to get the Hawks involved in Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James on Wednesday. Young tweeted, “What’s up LeBron!?” Come to the A and let’s get these Rings Fam.” Young’s tweet has been retweeted more than 1,000 times, although it may be hard for James to see the message given Young did not tweet it at the four-time NBA MVP.

Young’s timing is no accident, as James can opt out of his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday. While the Hawks look very much like a long shot for James (The sportsbook Bovada gives the Los Angeles Lakers, the Cavaliers and the Philadelphia 76ers the best odds), credit the 19-year-old Young for trying.
