Seeing Titans receiver Julio Jones make an unlikely catch along the sideline by barely getting two feet down is not an uncommon occurrence.

Jones did that frequently during his 10 seasons with the Falcons before a trade in June sent him to Tennessee.

But what increased the difficulty factor of this particular catch was that the ball bounced off the helmet of a Buffalo Bills defender during Monday night’s game. The ball bounded up and away from Jones, but he tracked it down and then showed off his toe-drag swag.

How crazy was that play? It’s definitely not something you’d see on any given Sunday, but NFL Next Gen Stats said the catch wasn’t as improbable as one might think.

According to Next Gen Stats, the play had a 24.2% chance of being completed, which seems on the high side.

Next Gen Stats also shared this cool visualization of the play, including the football bouncing off Bills safety Micah Hyde’s helmet.
