Ledger-Enquirer sports department wins recognition

The Ledger-Enquirer won recognition Wednesday for having one of the top 10 best Sunday sports sections in the country.

The winners were selected by the Associated Press Sports Editors during judging in Orlando, Fla., over the past several days.

The Ledger-Enquirer competes in the 40,000 to 100,000 circulation category.

The other papers to win in that category included Ann Arbor (Mich.) News; Beaver County (Pa.) Times; Champaign (Ill.) News-Gazette; Colorado Springs Gazette; Fayetteville (N.C.) Observer; Lincoln (Neb.) Journal-Star; Times Herald-Record (Middletown, N.Y.); Roanoke Times; Wichita Eagle.
