Northern 10-11 loses to North Carolina, defeats Tennessee

The Northern Little League 10-11 baseball all-stars beat Tennessee 7-6 on Monday afternoon in the Tournament of State Champions at Stallings Stadium.

With the win, Northern (2-1) advances to bracket play, which begins Tuesday.

Northern scored all seven of its runs in the bottom of the second inning.

Cole Thompson went 2-for-2 with a run scored. Bradford Bush had a hit and drove in two runs.

Keaton Ernest had a double and drove in a run.

Colton Masse, Mason Schoonover, Andrew Wells and Ryan Van Dinter also drove in runs.

Wells also had the win.

Northern lost 7-3 to North Carolina late Sunday night.

Northern was limited to just two hits in the game, both by Dylan Presley. He also scored a run.

Bush and Ernest scored the other runs.

Thompson drove in a run.
