Simon Roberts grew a cabbage so colossal it looks like it could play the man-eating plant in “Little Shop of Horrors.”

At 27.3 pounds, the humongous head of cabbage looks like it could swallow the East Smiths Station Elementary student who raised it.

Simon’s the Alabama state winner in the National Bonnie Plants Cabbage Program, his prodigious cabbage patch having earned him a $1,000 savings bond to invest in his future education.

He was among 37,423 Alabama kids who got their cabbage heads into the game this year.

Bonnie Plants now is talking registrations for 2017 at www.bonnieplants.com.
