Shooter firing into home fatally wounds Opelika man
Someone firing into the home of a 57-year-old Opelika, Ala., man fatally wounded the resident Thursday night, police said.
Arthur Moore Jr. was pronounced dead at 8:22 p.m. CST, about 20 minutes after the shooting, said Lee County Coroner Bill Harris.
Moore was dead by the time authorities arrived at his home in the 200 block of Avenue B, Harris said.
Moore’s body was sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in Montgomery for an autopsy.
