Flint Energies, which provides electricity from Columbus east to Warner Robins, Ga., said that as of 5 p.m. Wednesday it has cut the number of power outages in its service area from more than 30,000 to about 5,400.

“Power restoration crews worked 24 hours straight from the beginning of restoration at 8 p.m. on Monday night. We used new crews to work overnight on Tuesday while the Flint linemen rested,” said Ty Diamond, Flint’s chief operating officer. Power crews from North Carolina, Missouri and Kentucky are assisting with the effort, he said.

Flint Energies has about 83,800 customers altogether. It says outages should be reported to 1-888-354-6836 or online at www.flintenergies.com.
