Make money helping people have fun at Fantasy in Lights at Callaway

Those needing a temporary job in a very cool place with plenty of holiday lights and decorations amid a festive atmosphere might want to mark their calendars for Oct. 21.

That’s the Saturday that Callaway Gardens will be holding a job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for its major attraction of the year — Fantasy in Lights.

This holiday season, Fantasy in Lights runs from Nov. 17 through Jan. 6. Specialty nights include the March of Dimes Night Walk on Nov. 11, Bicycle Night on Nov. 12, Photography Night on Nov. 13 and a New Year’s Eve Party on Dec. 31.

The job fair will take place at Mountain Creek Conference Center, which is behind Mountain Creek Inn in Pine Mountain, Ga., just north of Columbus. The address is 17800 U.S. Hwy. 27.

Callaway Gardens said Thursday that jobs available include reservations, front desk agents, ticket agents, trolley drivers, greeters, public area attendants, costume characters, hosts and hostesses, cooks, cashiers and housekeepers.

On-site interviews will take place for many positions, the resort said, with possible hiring decisions made the same day. Those interested in a job are urged to fill out an online application prior to the job fair at www.callawaygardens.com/careers. Applications may still be completed at the fair, however, it said.
