Quesadillas and a car wash? New eatery feeds you and cleans your vehicle
Just in time for the yellow pollen season, Los Amigos Carwash & Food has opened its doors with a couple of magic words — free samples.
Chef Andy Ramos was beaming like a proud papa on Friday as he showed off the 28-seat eatery at 3369 Victory Drive, which has the distinction of being the only food establishment in the city that also works to get diners’ cars clean and shiny as they eat lunch a few steps away.

“We serve everything,” the chef said when asked if Los Amigos leans primarily on Mexican cuisine. The menu, which has a prominent fried chicken wing section, also includes tacos, taco salads, steak and chicken quesadillas, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, chicken and fish sandwiches and Philly sandwiches.
The eatery also features chicken, steak and shrimp fajitas, as well as veggie, chicken and shrimp fried rice. There are chicken and shrimp soups, as well as a “Superior Soup” that includes a blend of ingredients. Sides range from jumbo shrimp and mozzarella sticks to chicken gizzards and livers for the more down-home adventurous.
“We’ll be offering free samples for a limited time, probably a month,” the chef said.

With the car wash portion of the business, customers exit their vehicles so that employees can run the car or truck through an automated wash, then hand-dry and vacuum the vehicle inside for an additional charge. A basic car wash is $8 for a car and $10 for a truck. Add $4 to $5 more for interior service, with a wax $15 for a car and $20 for the larger truck.
Los Amigos Carwash & Food is owned by Juan Arevalo, who also is proprietor of Los Amigos Tire next door. Both businesses are adjacent to the Candlewood Suites hotel at the intersection of Victory Drive and South Lumpkin Road. The basic construction price on the 1,955-square-foot structure was $242,000, according to city building permits.
