Body found near Bulldog Bait and Tackle in Rotary Park
The body of a man who apparently drowned while snorkeling near 11th Street and Bay Avenue on Wednesday was found Thursday near Bulldog Bait and Tackle off of Victory Drive, authorities said.
Assistant Fire Chief Robert Futrell of the Columbus Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services said body was found by a kayaker just after 8 p.m.
“I’m just glad for the family,” he said.
The body was discovered about 30 minutes after the search was suspended.
