The highest paid full-time employees of the Columbus Consolidated government are state judges.
The lowest paid are court reporters.
Those are just a couple of insights revealed in a list of full-time CCG employee salaries released by the city’s Human Resources Department in response to an open records request submitted by the Ledger-Enquirer.
“Please keep in mind that this includes the employees’ annual approved salary for their current position,” Reather Hollowell wrote in an email to the newspaper. “Due to various reasons, certain employees may be on non-compensable leave and may not earn the full salary associated with their position. The salaries are not reflective of overtime or other compensable earnings the employee might receive. The listing includes the salaries of Columbus Consolidated Government employees only and does not include all employees that may work for other local government agencies.”
Of the more than 2,000 full-time employees, 16 of them make over $100,000. The highest paid are state court judges Andrew Prather and Benjamin Richardson, both making $160,705. Third on the list is City Manager Isaiah Hugley at $144,252.
Hugley is followed by Airport Director Richard Howell at $135,286; Tax Commissioner Lula Huff at $127,726; Juvenile Court Judge Warner Kennon at $125,190; State Court Solicitor Suzanne Goddard, $120,929 and Probate Court Judge Marc D’Antonio at $116,810.
Next on the list are City Attorney Clifton Fay, Deputy City Manager of Operations Valeiseia Goodwin and Deputy City Manager of Planning Pam Hodge, all three earning $115,506 annually.
They’re followed by Municipal Court Judge Steven Smith at $112,494, Columbus Police Chief Ricky Boren at $109, 302; Fire EMS Director Jeffery Meyer at $105,219 and Sheriff Donna Tompkins at $100,744.
