Bob Wright Symposium rescheduled for October following the storm
The Bob Wright Symposium on Business Empowerment, originally scheduled for September, has been rescheduled for next month.
The event will be held 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center. ABC News Anchor and Reporter Byron Pitts will serve as moderator.
The symposium is named for Bob Wright, a Columbus native who became an eye doctor and served on Columbus Council before rising to become a millionaire businessman and a philanthropist. He also serves on the board of directors with Columbus-based Aflac.
The event is sponsored by the Education Foundation of Delta Iota Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
Judy Smith, the real-life inspiration for the hit TV show “Scandal,” will be a guest speaker at the event. Other speakers will include Eric Bailey, founder of Bailey Wealth Advisors; Veronica Biggins, managing partner of Diversified Search and Cavanaugh Mims, president of Visionary & VS Group.
