New Columbus gas station offering less than $1 per gallon deal for opening day

A new gas station opening in Columbus today is offering $0.76 per gallon on regular fuel.

76 Gas Stations is opening the new location at 1045 Floyd Road. According to a post from the company on Facebook, the first 100 customers can fill up for only $0.76 per gallon on regular fuel from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

According to their website, 76 fuel has 3 times more detergrnt than the minimum required by the EPA. The fuel was first introduced through Union Oil Company of California in 1932.

You might recognize the brand from the iconic orange balls located as signage at the gas stations. In 1967, the company began distributing “antenna balls” for people to place on their cars.
