‘Sportsvisions TV Show’ returning Saturday
The “Sportsvisions TV Show” is returning to the air after a hiatus of about three months.
“We have been doing the show every week for about 13 years and needed a break. We are refreshed now and ready to go,” said DJ Jones who hosts the show with Dale Williams.
Beginning Oct. 7, the taped show will be broadcast on WRBL TV-3 Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and on CW Ga-Bama. at 1:30 p.m.
There will be news, interviews and features.
Jones said the show will cover national sports stories but the concentration will be local.
“We will cover high school teams, as well, as Auburn, Georgia, Alabama, and Georgia Tech,” Jones said. “Of course, we will talk about the Atlanta Falcons.”
Jones played his high school football at Carver High School .
He then played at the University of Georgia and was a member of the 1980 national championship team.
Jones played in the National Football League with the Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos and appeared in the two Super Bowls.
A motivational speaker, Jones is a former sports director for WRBL.
Williams played high school football at Hardaway High School.
He played college football at both The Citadel and the University of Georgia. He was also a member of Georgia’s national championship team.
The show has several sponsors including Headquarter Nissan.
“If you like sports, I think you are really going to enjoy what we have to offer,” Jones said.
