Phenix City man dies in one-car Columbus crash
A Phenix City man was killed in a single vehicle crash in Columbus Monday afternoon.
Muscogee Chief Deputy Coroner Freeman Worley identified the victim as 25-year-old Jeremie Markey Perry.
The crash happened on the westbound Bradley Park Drive ramp entering J.R. Allen Parkway, Maj. J.D. Hawk said.
The accident happened about 1:15 p.m. and Worley pronounced him dead at 1:38 p.m.
Worley said the cause of death was pending an autopsy.
Worley said another person in the vehicle was taken to the hospital.
The man, driving a Honda, lost control of the vehicle and struck several trees, Hawk said.
“It rolled over,” Worley said.
The accident remains under investigation.
