Police: Columbus attorney arrested after attacking woman

A Columbus attorney was arrested Monday afternoon after he allegedly attacked a woman, authorities said.

Mark Arden Casto, the trial attorney and founder of the Casto Law Firm, was apprehended at 12:10 p.m. Monday and charged with simple battery. He was booked into the Muscogee County Jail, but he was later released on bond.

According to an arrest report, Casto was involved in a physical altercation with a woman. She was left with redness and swelling on her arms and left leg, authorities said.
