Columbus man shot to death Sunday night on Eighth Street
A Columbus man was pronounced dead from gunshot wounds Sunday night, said Chief Deputy Coroner Freeman Worley.
Two officers were called to 2229 8th St. around 9:30 p.m., where police say they found found 25-year-old Nathan Johnson’s dead on the front porch of the home. He was taken to Midtown Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10:01 p.m.
His body will be sent to Atlanta for an autopsy and the death is being investigated as a homicide.
