The Columbus woman who was accused of leaving her two kids alone in a vehicle early Monday at a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market was released from the Muscogee County Jail on bond.

Nze Lendibi, 34, faces two counts of reckless conduct. She posted bond before her Wednesday morning hearing in Columbus Recorder’s Court.

Officers were called to the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market at 4909 Buena Vista Road around 7:45 a.m. Monday to meet with a person. Further investigation indicated that Lendibi left a 1-year-old and 3-year-old alone in a vehicle while she went grocery shopping, authorities said.

In the police report, officials didn’t state how long the children were left in the car without adult supervision.
