Third man was injured in Columbus shooting that left two others dead

A third man was wounded in the Tuesday morning shooting on 24th Street where two other men were killed, authorities said.

The victim was transported to Midtown Medical Center for treatment and released.

Columbus police are still investigating the shooting at 1422 24th St., where authorities said 23-year-old Datrell Roberson and 28-year-old Xavier Scott were killed.

They were transported to the hospital, where officials said Scott was pronounced dead at 12:53 a.m. and Roberson at 1:01 a.m. Their bodies were transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab in Decatur for autopsies.

Roberson and Scott were killed hours before police were called to a residence at 1024 50th St. around 9:55 p.m. Monday to investigate a separate shooting. Officials found 29-year-old Luis Moreno suffering from a gunshot wound in the front yard.

He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:42 p.m.

Authorities have yet to make an arrest in either shooting. No further details have been released.
