Woman charged in shooting death of man on Melvin Avenue
Nearly three weeks after the death of Tommy Marshall on Melvin Avenue, Columbus police arrested a woman Wednesday in connection with the March 23 shooting.
Yashicer Pritchett, the 43-year-old girlfriend who lived with the victim, was taken into custody and charged with murder. She is held without bond in the Muscogee County Jail for a 9 a.m. Friday hearing in Recorder’s Court.
Marshall was found with a gunshot about 4:52 p.m. after police were called to 214 Melvin Ave. to check on him. He was pronounced dead about an hour later by Muscogee County Chief Deputy Coroner Freeman Worley.
